I am looking forward to my weekend in Lyon, where I will be a member of the jury for this premier Brass Band event in France.
The chosen test piece is ‘Daphnis and Chloe second suite’ by Ravel. It marks the 80th year since Ravel’s passing, and the 80th birthday year of the arranger for brass band Howard Snell.
