It is 18 months since my last weekend conducting course, so I think it is time for another one! On this course I am focusing on problem solving in rehearsal. I want to help conductors improve their techniques, and offer solutions to some of the basic everyday problems facing conductors during rehearsals. I will have the assistance of two of the more progressive band in the North West area of the country, and the course will finish with a concert conducted by you if you’re interested!!
The course will be held at the famous Boarshurst Band Club in the middle of Saddleworth. Home of the Whit Friday March Competitions.
Saturday 21st June we will be working with the Boarshurst Brass Band on techniques I use to improve ensemble, and working through repertoire to be selected closer to the event.
Saturday evening will be with me, reviewing the days session, and going over some rehearsal techniques
Sunday 22nd June will be a day spent with the Eccles Borough Band working on concert repertoire to be selected, then in the evening you will be conducting them in concert in the Boarshurst Band Club.
